Edward Yumin Oh
Hello! My name is Edward Yumin Oh and I am honored to chair the Disarmament and National Security Committee. I am currently a sophomore at the Ruamrudee International School. I am new to Bangkok this year, and I am pleased to make BKKMUN as my first-ever MUN conference in Thailand. I began my MUN career in the sixth grade, and in the four years since, I had the privilege of participating in many conferences around East Asia both as a delegate and a chair as well as having the wonderful experience of planning and carrying out my previous school’s first MUN conference as part of the Secretariat. I am confident that all members of the Disarmament and National Security Committee can provide and participate in an engaging and worthwhile debate, and I urge all delegates to think beyond the surface and aim for innovative and sound solutions. Hello! My name is Kingpai, and I am from Harrow International school. I am very honoured to be chairing the Disarmament Committee at BKKMUN 2020! I have been doing MUN since Year 8, so nearly three years now, attending over fifteen conferences and counting; IASAS, FOBISIA and THAIMUN being the most notable. Aside from MUN, I enjoy reading a good novel, playing and listening to music, helping out with my school community services and most definitely: watching anime (Japanese animation). I hope during the conference, all delegates will take great pride in their country and defending it, I also hope to see diplomatic spirit and collaboration to construct flawless resolutions, and I hope all delegates will aim to bring the passion of debate to its highest level. I am very excited to meet you all and will be waiting for a lively and fruitful debate!
