THE SECRETARIAT
Sara Khan
Secretary General
Welcome delegates!
My name is Sara Khan, I am currently a senior at the International School Bangkok, I have been apart of MUN programs over five years and am delighted to serve as your Secretary General for this year's BKK MUN conference.

My love for MUN began once I realized the importance of educating myself about the countless global issues which many seem to be unaware of, I believe that global awareness is extremely important, especially as an international student who has lived abroad her entire life.
Months of arduous work have gone into preparing for this conference, when we first began preparation, we had no idea what the conference would look like. Ideas were discussed of holding a virtual conference, however, Thailand's response and ability to adapt and recover from the global pandemic has been phenomenal, allowing us to host an in-person conference at ISB.

Our ability to be apart of this special conference is a privilege everyone should be grateful for. Please make the most out of this opportunity and remind yourself that unprecedented circumstances are constantly arising all over the world, the skills you learn during MUN will be applicable to real-life now more than ever before.

Jingmin Wang
Deputy Secretary General
This conference will be amazing. I can feel it already. Despite the hardships caused by the pandemic, you all still have come here to debate, share ideas, and make friends, meaning that we must have a group of exceptional and dedicated delegates and chairs. I can't wait to be part of this process.

My name is Jingmin, and I'm a senior at ISB. I have been doing MUN for a while now, and have participated in a lot of conferences, mainly doing the ICJ. I am honored to have been part of the organizing team and hope that you will have an unforgettable experience. Outside of MUN, I happy to talk about anything. In terms of what I like to do, my love for football (soccer) and the Touhou Project runs deeper than anything else, but I suppose also love to spend time with my friends and family.

I cannot wait for this Saturday where I can see all our efforts come to fruition, and where I can participate in the conference as a Secretariat member but also as a delegate of the UNSC. If you have any questions, please contact me below.

This will be fun.
Jitpuwapat (Earth) Mokkamakkul
Deputy Secretary General
Hi everyone, welcome to ISB! My name is Earth (my full name is Jitpuwapat Mokkamakkul), and I’m a senior at the International School of Bangkok. This is my fourth year doing MUN, and since then, I've participated in over 10 conferences, having chaired as a president in the International Criminal Court and a chair in ASEAN. Starting my junior year, I've been a part of the ISBMUN secretariat team, but this is my first experience planning a conference of this scale!
I'm very humbled to be given the opportunity to serve as one of the secretariat members for this year's BKKMUN conference. I can't wait to hear all the discussions you will have in your committees. I hope that in the midst of all the fun and jokes, we will be able to brainstorm diplomatic solutions to very real global issues. If you have any questions, are lost, or just want anime recommendations, feel free to talk to me at any time. Other than MUN, I enjoy singing, playing video games, and playing badminton.

I'm sure the other secretariat members have said the same thing, but I really am excited to see all of your faces this Sunday. If you have any questions before the conference, feel free to contact me:
Pleng Kruesopon
Parliamentarian
Welcome delegates!
My name is Pleng Kruesopon and I am currently a junior studying at the International School of Bangkok. I am honored to serve as one of your Secretariat for the BKK conference and I cannot wait to witness the fruitful debate that will be fostered. I have been involved in Model United Nations for the past 4 years now and have been a member of our school’s IASAS traveling team since freshman year. Through my experience with MUN, I have broadened my skills as a critical thinker and public speaker, allowing me to become a better diplomat. MUN has expanded my knowledge in our world’s current events and has taught me to become more globally-minded. I became more aware of the vast range of varying opinions and MUN has taught me to always try to understand both sides to any situation, which is what I hope that you as delegates, will gain from this conference. Outside of MUN I enjoy reading (Ruta Sepetys is the best author of all-time, no debate ;) ), playing basketball and board games, traveling, procrastinating by watching endless amounts of vox videos, and spending time with friends and family.
If you have any questions at all, please feel more than free to contact me through my email.
I can’t wait to see you guys soon :)
Anna Timchenko
Parliamentarian
Welcome all,
My name is Anna Timchenko and I am beyond honored to serve as one of your Secretariat members at this year’s BKK. As a junior at ISB (International School Bangkok), this is my third BKK MUN, and I am anticipating the high quality of discourse and debate at this conference. Some of the most cherished memories of my high school career took place at MUN and I sincerely hope BKK MUN may foster such memorable experiences for you. I’ve been involved in MUN since my freshman year and it has been a conduit for me to better my public speaking and analysis skills, as well as better my confidence. MUN has been invaluable for kindling my passions for the study of contemporary politics (particularly international relations), history, and economics. Ergo, I anticipate BKK MUN may introduce you to an issue you become further curious about, perspectives you haven’t considered, or, at least, give you something to ruminate upon. Apart from MUN, my passions in life include Debate, literature, and media analysis. One can typically find me reading.
