SDC Chairs
Vienna Sparks
Hi my name Vienna Sparks (she/her) and I am honored to serve you as one of the SDC chairs this year! I am currently a junior at the International School Bangkok (ISB). This conference will be my third conference and my first time chairing. I specifically wanted to chair the SDC because of the important global issues that were assigned this year. Personally MUN has serves as an excellent way to learn more about current events and make new friends. Outside of MUN I love to swim, do Muay Thai, read, and spend time with friends. I hope this BKKMUN conference will create many memorable experiences, have much fruitful debate, and help you grow as delegates. Looking forward to meeting you in October!
Mye Makornwattana
My name is Mye Makornwattana and I am currently a Junior studying at the International School of Bangkok. I’ve had two years of experience with MUN, and have taken part in our in-school conferences but have never yet had a chance to attend an inter-school conference due to COVID-19. I’ve had partners for both the years I’ve done MUN, with the first being because it was my first time, and the second because having a partner helps with COVID-19 room divisions. The first year in my school, I was a delegate for Djibouti, and now am the delegate of Palestine. As a delegate for underrepresented countries in the UN, my experience in MUN has revolved around asking POIs, and writing resolutions that help alleviate the struggles and solve the issues that have a negative impact on those countries. I am very excited to chair the SDC and to meet all the delegates!
